My husband and I held off visiting Graton Casino because of the 'iffy' reviews, but on Easter weekend we visited. Avoid this place River Rock is just a bit farther up 101, and though smaller is a much better venue if you want to play with a chance to win. Once he realized we were unhappy and his tip had been squandered, he disappeared completely. The food was good, but the service was terrible we had to ask the bus people for bread and other items because our waiter completely ignored us as he fawned over a bigger party nearby. We finally got tired of losing & went to the steak house for dinner. Not sure what kind of strategy they are using to build repeat business. You would think they would loosen up, want to attract more players and avoid the bad rep that comes with a shortage of winners. No one was winning the slots are so tight they should squeak! And the tables have all kinds of rules that favor the house. I know Indian casinos are tight compared to Nevada, but this place is ridiculously stingy! Brand new but relatively empty - it didn't take long to figure out why. Stayed the Doubletree Hotel for barrel tasting weekend, visited the casino to play & have dinner on a Thursday evening.
